A series of quick updates #1

This update series will not be in chronological order, as the past few months have been so busy that keeping an account of happenings has not been possible. I’ve done a few “things” lately, and want to capture them as part of an effort to revitalise this blog and write articles in it on a regular basis.

Over the past year, I’ve been involved with a small working group hashing out ideas around Indigenous Protocols and their relationship to the development of AI. This is an extension – or a spin-off of the work I was involved with in 2019, in Hawaii.

The upshot of this work is the production of a paper and a panel session as part of “When machines dream of the future” the Hybrid Festival for Living with Artificial Intelligence, with the physical festival based in Dresden, and hosted by the Goethe Institut.

Our panel session was called “Indigenous Protocol: The Blind Spots of AI” and the recording of the session is available online.
